Creek overflows in Yalova: Streets flooded
In the Çınarcık district of Yalova, some streets and homes were flooded after a creek overflowed, and stranded citizens were rescued.

Due to heavy rainfall, the overflowing of the creek passing through Kocadere village caused flooding in some streets and homes in the Yalı neighborhood. Following this, gendarmerie, fire department, and Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) teams were dispatched to the region.
HOMES FLOODED
Approximately 20 people who were stranded due to the creek overflow in the Yalı neighborhood, along with 4 puppies in the basement of a building, were rescued and taken to a safe area. The puppies were handed over to the municipality's Veterinary Affairs Directorate teams. Following the flooding that affected one house in Kocadere and the basements of approximately 100 houses in the Yalı neighborhood, efforts by AFAD, the Çınarcık Municipality, and gendarmerie teams are ongoing.
In the town of Esenköy, a person stranded in their home following flooding caused by the heavy rainfall was also rescued by AFAD and the Esenköy Fire Department.

Yalova Governor Hülya Kaya visited citizens in Kocadere, where she arrived with unit directors, and received information about the ongoing efforts.
In a post on her social media account, Kaya stated, "We are in the field with all our colleagues. Due to heavy rainfall today, creek overflows occurred in our Kocadere village. We visited our citizens affected by the flood. We have started damage assessment studies. I wish a speedy recovery to the valuable residents of our Kocadere village."
