Cries of grief at the funeral of the woman crushed by an IETT bus in Beşiktaş

Lütfiye Koyunoğlu, who tragically lost her life after being crushed by an IETT bus while walking to a bus stop in Beşiktaş after getting off a minibus, has been laid to rest.

As her grieving daughter cried out while embracing her mother's coffin, her father, Rıza Koyunoğlu, could not hold back his tears while bidding farewell to his child.


The accident occurred yesterday around 11:30 AM in the Konaklar neighborhood of the 4. Levent area in Beşiktaş. According to the information obtained, the driver of the IETT bus operating on the 500T Tuzla-Cevizlibağ line, Kemal B. (61), struck Lütfiye Koyunoğlu as she was heading to the bus stop after getting off a minibus. While the woman crushed by the bus tragically lost her life, the bus driver, Kemal B., was taken into custody and referred to the courthouse on charges of "causing death by negligence."



A funeral ceremony was held for the late Lütfiye Koyunoğlu at the Tarabya Central Mosque in Sarıyer. The ceremony was attended by her grieving father Rıza Koyunoğlu, her ex-husband, her daughter, her family, and many loved ones. Her grieving daughter embraced the coffin and cried out, "Mother." Meanwhile, the daughter's cries broke hearts, and the grieving father, Rıza Koyunoğlu, could not hold back his tears. Lütfiye Koyunoğlu was laid to rest at the New Ayazağa Cemetery following the funeral prayer held after the afternoon prayer.

Lütfiye Koyunoğlu's father, Rıza Koyunoğlu, said through tears, “Look, the voice is here. My daughter is lying here. Let this be a lesson to the world, let it be a lesson to Turkey. This is how human life is, it is this cheap. My daughter is lying here.”
