Singer and actress Gülben Ergen has expressed her outrage over the discovery of the bodies of Fatma Nur Çelik and her daughter, Hifa İkra Şengüler, who had begun a struggle for justice after Çelik stated she had been forced to marry her abuser, Ayhan Şengüler, and that her daughter had also been abused at the age of 3.

Fatma Nur Çelik (30) and her 8-year-old daughter, Hifa İkra Şengüler, were found dead on the Zeytinburnu coast after Çelik had begun a fight for justice following her abuse by Ayhan Şengüler, an administrator at the Kurana Hizmet Foundation, and her subsequent forced marriage to the perpetrator, as well as the abuse of her daughter at age 3.

A confidentiality order and a publication ban have been imposed on the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident. Artist Gülben Ergen, who stood by Fatma Nur Çelik in her struggle for justice, reacted strongly to the situation.

Sharing her messages with Fatma Nur Çelik on her social media account, Ergen stated, "Fatma said, 'We have no safety.' We both took her daughter to the hospital. She said, 'I'm scared.' She asked for help from the state and from us. She said, 'If my daughter and I die, do not believe them if they call it suicide.'"

In a post on February 14, Ergen had also mentioned that she had met with Fatma Nur Çelik and expressed her reaction with the words, "I listened to the trauma she experienced for hours. I saw the evidence. I read the messages. I stayed with the child for hours. I read the reports. I listened to the voice recordings. Shame on you!!! Shame on you!!"

"I WILL BE HONORED TO GIVE A STATEMENT"

Following this process, Ergen made a post on her social media account and displayed the document indicating that the Ministry of Family and Social Services had filed a criminal complaint against her. In her post, Gülben Ergen shared the complaint petition with the note, "Police came to our home upon the complaint of the Ministry of Family and Social Services. I will be honored to give a statement for Fatmanur and her little daughter."
