The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has filed a criminal complaint against broadcasting organizations that violated the broadcast ban during the March 31 Local Administration General Elections.

It was stated that YSK Chairman Ahmet Yener had announced that the election broadcast ban would end at 21:00, and that the possibility of lifting it earlier was being evaluated by the council.

Despite this, it was noted that some broadcasting organizations violated the ban and began broadcasting election results around 19:15. It was reported that following YSK Chairman Yener's announcement that the broadcast ban had been lifted, a criminal complaint was filed with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the organizations that had violated the ban.
