Tarık Aktaş, the brother of Aziz İhsan Aktaş, was referred to the Criminal Court of First Instance after stabbing a person during a soccer match in Diyarbakır.
46-year-old Tarık Aktaş injured 20-year-old Behram Burak B. during the match. The court stated that the defendant Aktaş had injured the victim, Burak, with a knife and that this situation was confirmed by a medical report. Although the defendant denied the accusations, the court handed down a sentence in line with the evidence and the victim's testimony.
CRIMES CONFIRMED BY MEDICAL REPORT
The court found Tarık Aktaş guilty, stating that the victim's injury was caused by a knife and that this was confirmed by a medical report. Aktaş was sentenced to 6 months in prison for intentional injury; however, due to his criminal record and status as a repeat offender, the sentence will be executed without suspension.
A FAMILY WITH A CRIMINAL PAST: OTHER CRIMES OF THE AKTAŞ FAMILY
Following the conviction of Tarık Aktaş, attention has turned to other members of the Aktaş family.
Aziz İhsan Aktaş's brothers, Ramazan Murat and Tekin Aktaş, are being tried alongside Hüseyin Beyoğlu, the former AKP mayor of Diyarbakır's Bağlar Municipality, for rigging an asphalt tender.
Other brothers, Doğan and Özkan Aktaş, are listed as suspects in the Beşiktaş Municipality investigation, while their sister, Melek Kara, is being tried in the High Criminal Court on charges of defrauding TEDAŞ.
