Journalist and former CHP member of parliament Barış Yarkadaş claimed that the opposition wing of the CHP held a meeting. According to Yarkadaş's claim, a total of 42 people, including 13 current CHP members of parliament, attended the meeting in Ankara, which lasted 6.5 hours.

Stating that those who took the floor at the meeting voiced their criticisms regarding the party's current situation and management style, Yarkadaş reported that opinions were shared on the need to re-engage former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the process. He also stated that a consensus was reached on continuing these meetings and holding them in other cities as well.

According to Yarkadaş, information regarding the meeting is expected to be conveyed to Kılıçdaroğlu.

Yarkadaş said the following regarding the meeting:

"Participants who took the floor at the meeting also expressed the need for the knowledge and experience of the 7th CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Stating that such meetings should be organized more frequently and expanded, the participants agreed that the next meeting could be held in Istanbul.

It is expected that Kılıçdaroğlu will also be informed about the meeting, which included party members who were unlawfully expelled from the CHP.

This meeting is considered an important step for the intra-party opposition within the CHP.

CHP members are taking ownership of the CHP and expressing their discomfort with the party acting as a 'shield' against corruption allegations."
