In his statement regarding the attack, Devlet Bahçeli used the following expressions:
"Although the heinous terrorist attack that took place in Levent, Istanbul, was initially reported as 'the Israeli Consulate General was targeted,' the fact that the consulate was empty has shown signs that the nature of the incident is different.
It is no coincidence that the attack was carried out in a critical region like Levent in Istanbul—one of the alternative centers that stands out with its geopolitical position and strong financial infrastructure—in an area where international companies are concentrated, and in a way that directly targets our security forces.
Turkey will continue to stand tall against terrorism, provocations, and dirty scenarios, and will continue to be the name of hope and stability in the region with determination."
