New developments have emerged in the investigation into university student Gülistan Doku, who has been missing in Tunceli since 2020. The testimony provided by former Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel as part of the investigation involving his son has been revealed.

According to the report in Habertürk, Sonel denied the allegations directed at him in his testimony. Stating that the claims regarding Gülistan Doku being pregnant do not reflect the truth, Sonel stated that he did not give any instructions to delete SIM card data. Likewise, he expressed that he did not provide any direction regarding the deletion of camera footage.

In his testimony, Sonel also addressed the accusations against his son. He stated that he characterized the claims linking his son to a murder as an "ugly slander."

DNA SAMPLES TAKEN

It was also reported that new examinations have been initiated within the scope of the investigation. It was learned that DNA samples were taken from Gülistan Doku's mother and father.

It was stated that the collected DNA samples will be compared with findings obtained from the vehicle used by Mustafa Türkay Sonel during the period when Gülistan Doku went missing. It was noted that the investigation is continuing within this scope.
