According to AFAD data, following a 4.4 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Kiğı district of Bingöl at 12:26 PM on June 1, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 occurred at 12:55 PM.

Another earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 had also been recorded in the same region on May 29.

Following the earthquakes in the region, Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made a statement on his X account.

Stating that the tremors occurred on an unnamed fault with characteristics similar to the Yedisu Fault, Görür warned, saying, "It is concerning due to its location."

Görür used the following expressions:

"A 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Dallıca-Kiğı/Bingöl region. Previously, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in the same area. The earthquake is on an unnamed small fault with the same characteristics as the Yedisu Fault. It is concerning due to its location. This earthquake may affect the stress field changes on surrounding faults. Get well soon."
