It has been revealed that in a "walking stick umbrella procurement" tender held by the Üsküdar Municipality on November 17, 2023, during the term of Hilmi Türkmen, only Dms Dizayn Mağazacılık Satış ve Pazarlama Ticaret Limited Şirketi submitted a bid, and the contract was signed with this firm. Under the scope of the tender, the municipality paid 3.6 million TL for 20,000 umbrellas.

ONLY ONE COMPANY PARTICIPATED, MILLION-LIRA CONTRACT SIGNED

According to official tender documents, a 3.6 million TL contract was signed between the firm and the municipality on December 5, 2023. The company in question is managed by Didem Nur Hazıroğlu and Mehmet Emin Hazıroğlu, the children of former AKP Istanbul Provincial Vice Chairman Murat Hazıroğlu.

THE SAME COMPANY HAS PREVIOUSLY SECURED TENDERS FROM MUNICIPALITIES

According to a report by İsmail Arı from BirGün, the Hazıroğlu family's company won a total of five different tenders from the Üsküdar Municipality between 2021 and 2023, worth 8 million TL.

These tenders included the sale of "multi-charging cables and USB flash drives" to the municipality in 2021. It was also learned that the firm had previously undertaken the security camera work for the Hagia Sophia.

According to the records of the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette, Dms Dizayn Mağazacılık Şirketi was established in 2018 as a partnership between Didem Nur Hazıroğlu and Mehmet Emin Hazıroğlu. Furthermore, it was determined that another company owned by Murat Hazıroğlu, Kent Teknoloji Yazılım Şirketi, won 64 tenders from AKP-run municipalities between 2013 and 2023, securing a total of approximately 30 million TL in business.

Among the municipalities from which it received the most tenders are Bayrampaşa, Esenler, Bağcılar, and Gaziosmanpaşa.
