Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known as Cübbeli Ahmet, met with former Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım. Details of the meeting were shared on Cübbeli Ahmet's social media account.

THEY REMINISCED ABOUT PRISON MEMORIES

The post shared on Cübbeli Ahmet's social media account is as follows:

"Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca visited his 'prison companion' and dear friend, Mr. Aziz Yıldırım, upon his invitation.

Other mutual friends were also present at the gathering. They sat for about five hours and discussed many important topics. Some individuals present at the gathering who had previously served in state affairs stated to Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca: 'Your foresight and warnings regarding Salafism-Wahhabism and ISIS, as well as your refutations concerning the sabotage by Iranian and Shia agents in Turkey, your efforts against the Salafi-Wahhabi problem in the Turkic Republics, and especially your resistance against the Ecumenical project within the Sur district, are being followed with appreciation by many institutions and organizations.'

'Unfortunately, since the number of scholars who can enlighten people on all these matters has dwindled to almost none, your services in these areas are of great importance. Your efforts against the FETÖ movement and against interfaith dialogue are not hidden. Therefore, we look forward to the continuation of your services.' Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca replied to them: 'Since these issues concern first the religion and then the indivisibility of the homeland and the survival of the state, all scholars should strive in these matters. However, unfortunately, those who are not willing to pay the price and do not want their order to be disrupted do not get involved in these issues. In a sense, since the funeral is left in the middle, we continue our sensitivity on these matters. I wish it were not so. I wish many more people performed these services so that we could pray for and support them.'

'But there is no other way; we are crushed under the difficulty of the duty to protect both our religion and our Hanafi-Maturidi line, as well as to be vigilant against traitors to the homeland and expose them. We see much help from Allah Almighty. The truth will surely prevail,' he commented.

The content of the conversations was as dense as a volume of a book. Naturally, they reminisced about their prison memories. As a result of a deep conversation, they parted ways after deciding to meet once a month.

On this occasion, we pray to our Lord for happiness in both worlds, health, and well-being for our esteemed president Mr. Aziz Yıldırım, and success in performing many more beneficial services for our state and nation.'"
