Dams filled with rainfall, Istanbul breathes a sigh of relief! January 15 dam occupancy figures

The occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams has risen to 58.03 percent.

Compared to last week, the occupancy rate in the dams showed an increase of 5.94 percent.

According to the latest data provided by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the rate, which was 52.09 percent at the beginning of last week, rose to 58.03 percent with the effective rainfall.

Due to insufficient rainfall during the winter season last year, dam occupancy rates had dropped. However, with this year's rainfall, dam occupancy rates have started to increase.

While the water level in the Pabuçdere Dam, which has the lowest water level, was measured at 26.47 percent, the highest water amount was recorded in the Elmalı Dam at 81.72 percent.
