The young man, who was pulled from the water with the help of citizens, was resuscitated by medical teams but remains in critical condition.

Antalya, especially during the summer months, sees young people seeking adrenaline and excitement at Konyaaltı Beach disregard their own lives by climbing to the top of approximately 40-meter cliffs to jump into the sea for show. While these jumps often leave onlookers terrified, they sometimes lead to irreversible consequences. In the incident that occurred around 17:30, 18-year-old Syrian national Mohammad Al M., who had come to Konyaaltı Beach with his friends on the last day of the holiday, climbed to the edge of the 40-meter cliffs after swimming for a while.
HE LEAPED INTO THE VOID AND WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED
After joking with his friends for a while, Mohammad threw himself into the void. The young man, who jumped in an uncontrolled manner, hit the water on his stomach. Citizens on the beach rushed to help the young man, who remained motionless on the surface of the water. Meanwhile, upon notification of the situation to the 122 Emergency Call Center, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The young man, who was pulled to the shore with great difficulty by citizens while unconscious, received initial intervention from fire and medical teams arriving at the scene. The young man, whose heart had stopped and who had swallowed water, was resuscitated after long efforts by the teams and was taken to Antalya Training and Research Hospital with serious injuries. It was reported that the young man's condition remains critical.
CITIZENS RUSHED TO HELP
Adnan Kayapınar, who was on the beach at the time of the incident and witnessed the young man's jump from the cliffs, said, "He fell onto his stomach on the water. He sank straight to the bottom. Friends in the vicinity pulled him out of the water. When they pulled him out, he was unconscious and his face had turned yellow. He jumped from the very top of the large rocks onto his stomach. Many people wanted to help. The ambulance arrived and they performed CPR."
Samet Efe Sartaş, who witnessed the events, said, "The boy stayed on the water for a while. No one could get him out, then those who rushed to help pulled him from the water. The ambulance arrived and they performed CPR. Another kid just jumped a moment ago."
