Date for the first minimum wage meeting has been set
The date for the first meeting of the minimum wage negotiations, which millions of citizens are eagerly awaiting, has been announced as December 12.

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first meetingon Friday, December 12, 2025, at 14:00 at the Ministryof Labor and SocialSecurityheadquartersin Ankara.will be determined.
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, consisting of worker, employer, and government representatives, will determine the new minimum wage figure during its theprocess for thenegotiationshas begun.
TheMinistry of Labor and SocialSecuritywill represent the commissionTÜRK-İŞ, representing the labor sector,and the TurkishConfederation of Employer Associations (TİSK), representing the employer sector, were invited to the meeting on December 12 at 14:00.
The meeting, to be hosted by the Ministry, is expected to be organizedwith the commission'snew membership structure.
Following TÜRK-İŞ's reaction to the minimum wage being set at a net 22,104 liras for 2025 with a 30 percent increase last year,of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission's meeting, discussions regardinghad come to theagenda.
Following this, the Ministry of Laborand Social Securityregarding the currentworker, employer and government representatives, with 5 members each, totaling 15 people, regarding the structure of the Commission workhas begun, and the government's representative counthad presented the formulaincluding reducing therate to 1 to TÜRK-İŞ.
TÜRK-İŞ's stThe management, on the other hand, stated that they wouldannounce to the public whether they will participate in the meetings once the decision regarding the new structurepresentedto them is made official.
