It has been claimed that Koray Aydın, who told Meral Akşener after her meeting with Erdoğan that she had 'made the party members hang their heads in shame,' will resign from the İYİ Party along with a group of colleagues and remain independent for a while.

Waters are not calming down in the İYİ Party following the election defeat and the subsequent congress.

The debates, which flared up significantly after Meral Akşener's meeting with President Tayyip Erdoğan, have reached the point of departures from the party.

It is alleged that İYİ Party Ankara Deputy Koray Aydın, who reacted to Akşener after the Erdoğan meeting but did not receive a response to his move within the party, will officially resign from the party on Thursday along with a group of colleagues.

Journalist İsmail Saymaz claimed in a post on his social media account that Aydın and his colleagues would remain independent for a while.

Saymaz's post is as follows: "Koray Aydın is resigning from the İYİ Party on Thursday. Along with Aydın, some former General Administrative Board members, Founders' Board members, and former and current provincial and district heads are also expected to leave. Aydın will remain independent for a while."
