Hearings continued for the fourth day in the IMM case, where many people are being tried, including CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
In the case where a total of 402 defendants are being tried, it was stated that 106 defendants are in custody, and the court panel listened to the defendants' defenses throughout the day.
WHISTLEBLOWER DEFENDANT'S DEFENSE WAS TAKEN
During the hearing, defendant Ümit Polat, who is stated to have served as the Purchasing Manager at Ağaç AŞ, took the floor and made his defense.
Polat spoke of a message that he claimed was delivered to him before the operations carried out on March 19. According to the allegation, Polat claimed that some promises were conveyed to him through an Ağaç AŞ employee whom he said was the cousin of Istanbul Governor Davut Gül.
Polat alleged that the person in question told him before the operation, "He should not make a sound, he should wait, something will happen soon anyway."

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül responded to the allegations with a statement he made via his social media account.
In his post, Gül stated, "I have no close or distant relatives working at the IMM or its subsidiaries."
