A striking banner featuring the photos of mayors who are currently imprisoned and facing ongoing legal proceedings has been hung on the facade of the CHP Headquarters.

As part of the operation carried out against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) on March 19, Ekrem İmamoğlu was detained and subsequently arrested on March 23.
The government has not slowed down its operations against CHP-run municipalities, and during this process, 16 CHP mayors have been arrested and sent to prison. A house arrest order was issued for Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere.
Most recently, during the night hours, Şile Mayor Özgür Kabadayı was also detained.
Following all these developments, a large banner featuring the photos of the imprisoned mayors whose legal processes are ongoing was hung on the front facade of the CHP Headquarters.
