Death toll from earthquakes in Venezuela rises to 4,829

The number of people who lost their lives in the earthquakes that occurred in Venezuela on June 24 has reached 4,829.

The toll is worsening following the consecutive 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24. In a statement, Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez announced that the number of people who lost their lives in the earthquakes has risen to 4,829.

In the earthquakes, 16,740 people were injured, and 17,907 people were left homeless. While 190 buildings were completely destroyed, 856 buildings sustained heavy damage.
