At the Military Academy graduation ceremony held on August 30 Victory Day, the young lieutenants reciting the Officer's Oath and chanting "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" caused a wide stir in public opinion. However, following the ceremony, reactions came from the ruling front, and an investigation was launched into the lieutenants.
ERDOĞAN HAD SAID THEY WOULD RECEIVE THE PUNISHMENT THEY DESERVE
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his statement regarding the matter, targeted the lieutenants, saying, "Whoever is involved in this, we will ensure they receive the punishment they deserve."
MINISTER GÜLER GAVE A DATE
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler provided information regarding the disciplinary process of the lieutenants. Stating that the public should wait until November 25, Güler said, "First of all, as a society, we need to wait patiently until November 25. But as the Turkish Armed Forces, our understanding of discipline is always at the forefront in our view of such incidents. The disciplinary process is currently ongoing. We will make the decision at the High Disciplinary Board."

According to Güler's statement, it is indicated that the decision regarding the incident will be taken by the Turkish Armed Forces High Disciplinary Board. While the disciplinary process continues, it is reported that government officials and military authorities are closely following the matter.
