In a statement issued by the Governor's Office, it was stated that in accordance with the Military Forbidden Zones and Security Zones Law No. 2565, for the purpose of ensuring national security, public order and safety, preventing the occurrence of violent incidents, and forestalling any potential negative situations, the Cudi Mountain, Bestler Dereler region, Kurt Mountain, Kureşin, Kel Mehmet Mountains, Serin Valley, Faraşin, Altın Mountain, İncebel Mountain, Oymakaya, and Tanin regions located within the borders of the Şırnak city center and the districts of Cizre, Silopi, Güçlükonak, Uludere, and Beytüşşebap have been declared special security zones from October 13 to 27.
The statement, which noted that the coordinates of the regions in question have been shared on the Governor's Office website, emphasized that it is important for citizens not to enter these areas day or night for the sake of their life and property safety.
