Alper Gezeravcı, who returned after successfully completing Turkey's first manned space mission, has been appointed as a member of the Board of the Turkish Space Agency (TUA).

In the appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Erdoğan, it was stated that "In accordance with Article 6 of Presidential Decree No. 23 and Articles 2 and 3 of Presidential Decree No. 3, Alper Gezeravcı, Alper Güzel, Mustafa Arif Karabeyoğlu, Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Mustafa Mehmet Nefes, and İsmail Doğan have been appointed as members of the Board of the Turkish Space Agency."
