Decision made to continue detention of defendants in Isias Hotel case
A decision has been made to continue the detention of the defendants held in custody in the Isias Hotel case. Judicial control measures for the other defendants remain in place.

In the trial regarding the Isias Hotel, which collapsed during the February 6 earthquakes in Adıyaman and became the grave of 72 people, an interim decision was announced on the 4th day of the hearing where 11 defendants, 5 of whom are in custody, are being tried.
INTERIM DECISION ANNOUNCED
It was decided that the detention of the defendants in custody, Ahmet Bozkurt, Fatih Bozkurt, Efe Bozkurt, Erdem Yıldız, and Halil Bağcı, shall continue, that the defendants being tried without arrest shall remain under judicial control, and that the request to bring the defendants to court be denied.
The court panel also decided to request CCTV records, to inquire with the prosecutor's office regarding the status of the file concerning public officials, that there is no ground for not sending them to a different prison, and that witness Mustafa Murat Ahmet Kuştepe be brought to the hearing by force.
The hearing was adjourned to April 26, 2024.
ISIAS HOTEL CASE
In the investigation into the deaths of 72 people—including athletes, teachers, coaches, and members of the Turkish Tourist Guides Association who had come from the TRNC for a volleyball tournament—at the Isias Hotel in Adıyaman during the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes on February 6, 5 people were arrested, and a lawsuit was filed against 11 people demanding up to 22 years in prison for the crime of 'causing the death and injury of more than one person through conscious negligence'.
