President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the regulation, which stipulates that the lighting expenses of cemevis will be paid from the budget of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
According to the regulation, cemevis will be required to submit a written request to the provincial directorate of culture and tourism in their respective province to have their expenses covered.
It will be mandatory for the technical staff of the provincial directorate to carry out the inspection of meter separation procedures, taking into account the components of the cemevi.
TO BE RE-INSPECTED EVERY YEAR
Cemevis found to meet the required conditions will be notified by the provincial directorate that their lighting expenses will be paid upon the submission of invoices. Cemevis whose lighting expenses are covered will be inspected on-site by the provincial directorate every year.
The regulation also specifies cases in which payments will not be made.
Accordingly, lighting expenses for sections used for commercial purposes that are determined to be outside the scope of the cemevi will not be paid from the Ministry's budget, and in case of non-compliance with the provisions, all kinds of costs such as interest, default interest, late payment surcharges, and reconnection fees will be paid by the subscriber.
The Presidency cannot be held responsible for these costs.
