The Çankaya District Election Board has rejected the application filed for the cancellation of the CHP's extraordinary congress.
TGRT Haber Ankara Representative Fatih Atik wrote that the application for the cancellation of the CHP's extraordinary congress was rejected by the Çankaya District Election Board.
Previously, former CHP Hatay Mayor Lütfü Savaş had filed a lawsuit at the Ankara 31st Civil Court of First Instance for the cancellation of the CHP congress held on November 4-5, 2023, where Özgür Özel was first elected chairman. In the petition, it was claimed that the will of the delegates had been corrupted, and the removal of the party administration from office was requested. The petition stated that Özel had won the election by a margin of only 18 votes.
