Five out of 18 suspects detained and referred to the courthouse in connection with an incident in Eskişehir, where a police officer and 6 people were injured while trying to break up a fight between two groups, have been arrested.

The incident occurred on July 16 on Obruk Street in the 71 Evler neighborhood of the Odunpazarı district. A verbal argument between two groups escalated into a fight involving stones and sticks.
A police officer who intervened to break up the fight and 6 people involved in the altercation were injured. Following investigations by teams from the Provincial Security Directorate, a total of 18 suspects, including 1 minor, were identified as being involved in the incident and were taken into custody.
After undergoing health checks and completing procedures at the Public Security Branch Directorate, the suspects were referred to the courthouse in the morning. One of the suspects drew attention while being led out of the police station by saying, "The ones who wanted to martyr the Turkish police are the others."
5 suspects sent to prison
The judicial process for the 18 suspects, who were brought before a judge following their statements to the prosecutor's office, has been completed. The court panel decided to arrest 5 of the suspects and send them to prison. Of the remaining suspects, 10 were released under judicial control conditions, and 3 were released after their procedures were completed.
