Decomposed female body found on the side of the TEM highway
A decomposed body was discovered during the search for an 87-year-old Alzheimer's patient who had been missing for a month in the Derince district of Kocaeli. While the identity of the body has not yet been determined, an investigation into the incident has been launched.

87-year-old Alzheimer's patient Emine Yıldırım, who resided in the Çenedağ neighborhood, went missing on June 28.
Following her family's missing person report, search efforts were initiated by teams from the Kocaeli Police Department. Teams from Istanbul also joined the search for Emine Yıldırım, who had not been found for 27 days, today.
During the search efforts, which also involved the scent-tracking dog Zeyna, a decomposed body was found in a green area along the TEM Highway.
The prosecutor and crime scene investigation teams conducted a comprehensive search at the location where the body was found. Following the examination, the body was taken to the morgue to be sent to the forensic medicine institute for identification.
Hasan Yıldırım, whose mother went missing, also arrived at the scene, but no definitive information could be provided to him as the body was in an unrecognizable state.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
