According to Pelin Akdemir from Gazete Duvar, the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM) Bursa Provincial Organization's 4th Ordinary Provincial Congress, which was planned to be held with the participation of Van MP Pervin Buldan, has been postponed to a later date due to the party being targeted on social media and reports of planned attacks.

Party officials stated that their party and supporters were being targeted due to the events, noting that a serious provocation was at play. In the announcement made by the party, it was stated, "For this reason, we inform our public that we have postponed our provincial congress by the decision of our headquarters."

DEM Party Bursa Provincial Co-Chair Mehmet Dilek stated that the congress was postponed to prevent provocative actions and that this decision was taken by the headquarters.
