A photo has been shared from the meeting held by the DEM Party delegation with Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK. The DEM Party delegation held another meeting with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan on İmralı Island today.
Before the press conference where the delegation was to read Öcalan's statement, a photograph of the terrorist organization leader was also displayed. The shared photo was recorded as the first image of Öcalan to reach the press in years.
The delegation included DEM Party Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, DEM Party Van MP Pervin Buldan, Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder, and former Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Türk.
The DEM Party shared Öcalan's photo at the moment his call was announced. The photo was also shown before the meeting where the DEM Party delegation was to read Öcalan's statement.
Hamili Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Konar, and Veysi Aktaş, who are also imprisoned at İmralı Prison, were present in the shared photograph.
