DEM Party Mersin Provincial Chair Reşat Aşan detained

DEM Party Mersin Provincial Chair Reşat Aşan has been detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It was reported that 5 other people were also detained as part of the same investigation besides Aşan. 

The DEM Party Mersin Provincial Organization shared the news of the detentions on its social media account. 

"We condemn this political genocide!" the statement read as follows:

"We condemn this political genocide! Our Provincial Co-Chair Reşat Aşan and our party members were detained this morning. We condemn these unlawful detentions. Our friends must be released immediately!"
