Following the loss of many citizens' lives and the injury of dozens more in the TUSAŞ terrorist attack, the Ministry of National Defense took action, and the Turkish Armed Forces struck 32 PKK targets in air operations carried out in northern Syria and Iraq.

Following the air operations, a statement was issued by the DEM Party, which included the following remarks:

Statement from our Central Executive Committee:

The air operations launched following the attack on the TUSAŞ facilities in Kahramankazan, Ankara, will only serve to deepen the violence in the region.

The bombardments targeting many centers in Northern and Eastern Syria, particularly Kobani, endanger the lives of the civilian population. The destructive effects of war could lead to a major catastrophe for all parties in the region.

Military operations in which civilians are targeted also violate international law.

Continuing war and conflict will only lead to more pain and loss.

We call on all parties to adopt dialogue and peaceful solutions.
