DEM Party's second Imralı tour begins: First stop is CHP
Following the call to lay down arms from terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, the DEM Party is embarking on its second Imralı tour in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. While the first stop is the CHP, meetings with the MHP and AKP will be held on March 17.

The DEM Party delegation is continuing its contacts with political parties. In this context, they will first visit the Republican People's Party (CHP).
Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları will meet with CHP leader Özgür Özel at the CHP Headquarters.
Speaking to Cumhuriyet newspaper before the visit, Özel stated, "This issue needs to be resolved as a whole. If something is to happen on the floor of the Parliament, associations of martyrs' families and veterans must absolutely be included in this process. It would not be right to do something without their consent. If there is a social consensus on the floor of the Parliament, we support it. But apart from that, we stand against give-and-take bargaining, and especially against plans for constitutional amendments."
POLITICAL PARTY MEETINGS CONTINUE
The DEM Party delegation will meet with the partners of the People's Alliance on Monday, March 17.
11:00 AM WITH MHP, 2:00 PM WITH AKP
The meeting with the MHP will begin at 11:00 AM, while the meeting with the AKP will take place at 2:00 PM. Both meetings will be held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
These contacts will address the call from Imralı to lay down arms and the steps that can be taken in this direction.
WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE NEW RESOLUTION PROCESS?
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had made a statement during his party's group meeting on October 22, saying, "If the isolation of the terrorist leader is lifted, let him come and speak at the DEM Party group meeting, and declare that terrorism has ended and the organization has been dissolved."
Following this call, the necessary permissions were granted, the DEM Party Imralı Delegation held contacts with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, and subsequently began meetings with political parties in Parliament.
Finally, on February 27, terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, in a letter he wrote following his meeting with the DEM Party delegation, issued a call for the PKK to lay down its arms and for the organization to be dissolved.
