It has been revealed that a sharp iron device was placed on the left rear tire of the vehicle belonging to the late DEM Party Istanbul MP and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Sırrı Süreyya Önder.

The DEM Party announced that they had reported the situation, which was discovered on April 2, to official authorities, but that they had not received any notification regarding the investigation and examination conducted.

A need has arisen to make a statement regarding reports in some media outlets about an assassination attempt on our late Imrali Delegation member and Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Sırrı Süreyya Önder.

On April 2, while the parking attendant was using Sırrı Süreyya Önder's vehicle, he became suspicious of a sound coming from the tires and took the vehicle to a service center. During the inspection, it was determined that a sharp iron device capable of puncturing the vehicle's left rear tire had been placed there.

Önder brought this incident to the party boards, and the necessary examinations and evaluations were carried out. The incident and relevant evidence were forwarded to official authorities. Both our party and Mr. Önder have been closely following the matter. Due to the sensitivity of the investigation, the subject was not reflected to the public.
