DEM Party's proposal for special menu for vegetarians and vegans rejected: They requested a 20 million budget
A motion submitted by the DEM Party to allocate 20 million TL from the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) budget to provide the necessary infrastructure for vegetarian and vegan dining services in the Parliament's restaurants and cafeterias was rejected by the votes of the AKP and MHP.

Discussions on the budgets of the TBMM, the Ombudsman Institution, and the Court of Accounts were concluded at the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee, which met under the chairmanship of AKP Samsun Deputy Mehmet Muş.
The TBMM budget was approved by the votes of AKP and MHP deputies.
VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN PROPOSAL
Following the budget discussions, the DEM Party group submitted an amendment proposal to the Committee Presidency, citing the lack of food services suitable for vegetarians and vegans in the restaurants and cafeterias within the Parliament.
DEM Party deputies pointed out that there are many vegetarian and vegan deputies and staff members in the TBMM, stating that grievances are being experienced because there is no separate food service provided for vegetarians and vegans in the restaurants within the Parliament.
THEY REQUESTED A 20 MILLION TL BUDGET
It was proposed that the TBMM budget be increased by 20 million TL to provide adequate food services.
REJECTED
The proposal was rejected by the votes of AKP and MHP deputies.
There is currently no special menu for any specific diet or medical condition in the restaurants and cafeterias within the Parliament.
