Demonstrations and marches banned for 10 days in Şırnak
The Şırnak Governor's Office has announced that demonstrations, marches, and open-air meetings are banned for 10 days throughout the city center and all districts.

In a statement issued by the Şırnak Governor's Office, it was noted that the mayors of Mardin, Batman, and the Halfeti district of Şanlıurfa were removed from office by the Ministry of Interior due to terrorism investigations. The statement said, "Considering the potential for groups linked to terrorist organizations to threaten the environment of peace and security established throughout the province, and in order to ensure public order and security, prevent the commission of crimes, and protect the rights and freedoms of others, all kinds of open-air meetings and demonstration marches, mass welcoming and farewell ceremonies, press statements, sit-ins, rallies, tent pitching, signature campaigns, stand setups, mass funeral ceremonies and cemetery visits, memorial ceremonies, festivals, concerts, entertainment, theatrical performances, demonstrations, etc., likely to be held, as well as all kinds of audio and visual activities that can be carried out with sound broadcasting vehicles, the release of wish lanterns and balloons, all kinds of aerial activities such as drones and paramotors, and, excluding activities of private legal entities with commercial identity, the distribution of flyers, stickers, brochures, etc., and the hanging of posters and banners, etc., and the collective entry and exit of individuals coming from outside our province to participate in actions and events to be held throughout our province, as well as collective travel between the city center and districts, are prohibited for 10 days from 00:01 on 04.11.2024 to 23:59 on 13.11.2024 within all provincial borders (geographical area - city center, districts, and all police and gendarmerie responsibility zones), excluding events deemed appropriate by the Governor's Office and district governorates, programs organized by public institutions and organizations, official holidays, official memorial days, official ceremonies and celebrations, programs to be held by these institutions according to their traditions and customs, and sports activities."
