Denial of claims that the İzmir Ring Road will become a toll road

In a statement made from the social media account of the General Directorate of Highways, it was noted that it has been observed that unfounded claims, previously voiced for the Ankara Ring Road, are now being brought back to the public agenda through the İzmir Ring Road in some social media posts and statements; the statement included the following: "There is no decision taken to change the current operating structure of the ring roads operated by the General Directorate of Highways and serving free of charge, nor is there any study underway to make them toll roads."
