Deniz Zeyrek's claim about AKP and DEM Party: 'They met behind the scenes...'
Journalist Deniz Zeyrek claimed during a live broadcast that the AKP has been meeting with the DEM Party behind the scenes. Alleging that the AKP has made numerous promises to the DEM Party, primarily to "end the trustee regime," Zeyrek reacted to the AKP government, saying, "Stop these stories already."

As the local elections approached, alliance negotiations between the CHP and the DEM Party had failed to yield results, and the DEM Party decided to field its own candidates in Istanbul.
Despite the DEM Party's decision to field candidates in metropolitan cities, the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı), formed primarily by the AKP and MHP, as well as the İYİ Party and the Homeland Party (Memleket Partisi), continue to criticize the CHP for its meetings with the DEM Party, using the label 'they are being brewed with DEM' (DEM'leniyorlar).
Evaluating the agenda on Sözcü TV, journalist Deniz Zeyrek claimed that it was not the CHP but the AKP that had reached an agreement with the DEM Party and that meetings were held behind closed doors.
Zeyrek stated that the AKP had made a promise to the DEM Party to "end the trustee regime."
Journalist Zeyrek said, "The DEM Party fielded its strongest candidate in Istanbul. They could not have fielded a more ambitious candidate than Meral Daniş Beştaş. They brought and fielded their most ambitious candidate. Because the ruling party and the DEM Party met behind the scenes. I personally uncovered it. Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan went and met with the Minister of Justice. They tried to deny it at first, then they were forced to explain it. The things that are going on. You, the ruling party, made a lot of promises to the DEM Party, saying the trustee regime would be ended, a new regulation would be provided, and so on and so forth. Stop these stories already, really."
Deniz Zeyrek also said the following:
"Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder came out and said they discussed sick prisoners. There is no need to go into more detail. If the DEM Party fielded its strongest candidate in Istanbul, the reason for this is a result of its agreement with the ruling party. Let no one try to equate the CHP with the DEM Party. The CHP has already made plenty of mistakes.
The ruling party says the CHP is 'being brewed with DEM,' that it is in league with the PKK... Stop these stories, it's tiresome now. You are the ones together with the most radical, with Hezbollah. Where do Hezbollah deputies get the courage to threaten the republic, to propose autonomy, to propose a federation? They get their courage from you."
