In a written statement issued by the bank, it was noted that within the framework of the ongoing case involving a former branch manager, there are various criminal complaints filed by both the complainants and the Bank.
"Some of these applications have been concluded (cases have been filed or rejected), while others are still ongoing. However, we have not received any notification regarding the prosecutor's investigation that has been reflected in some media outlets today," the statement said, adding the following:
"We submit to the knowledge and discretion of the Great Turkish Nation and the public that the 'presumption of innocence and the right not to be stigmatized,' which is the most fundamental principle of criminal law under constitutional protection, has been trampled upon by leaking the file to media outlets in violation of the principle of confidentiality, without any official information reaching us regarding the result of an investigation that appears to have been initiated on 14.10.2024, 1.5 years after the case against Seçil Erzan was filed. We call on the authorities to take action in the face of this clear illegality."
