Deputy Interior Minister Karaloğlu's 'FETÖ is not over' warning: 'We must all stay vigilant'

The 15 July Association organized the "15 July Association 7th Traditional Martyrs' Families Meeting" at a hotel in the Kemer district of Antalya.

Deputy Interior Minister Münir Karaloğlu, in his speech there, stated that July 15 was one of the darkest nights the nation has ever experienced, pointing out that the enemy does not always come from the outside, but sometimes from within.

Stating that the enemy does not sleep, Karaloğlu spoke as follows:

"We are unfortunately betrayed by organizations whose roots and minds are abroad, which were established and flourished with your, our alms, zakat, sacrifices, and sacrificial hides, and which grew by exploiting religion. The July 15 FETÖ terrorist organization uprising was exactly such an uprising from within. Water sleeps, but FETÖ does not; the enemy does not sleep. We must all be vigilant, we must stay vigilant. If they find the opportunity, they will organize again, infiltrate the state, and commit the same betrayal they did in the past. We know this from the operations we conduct. Since June 7, when Mr. Yerlikaya became Minister of Interior, there have been 3,500 detentions in FETÖ operations. 786 of them were arrested, and judicial control measures were imposed on 775. Do not think that FETÖ is over; it is not. The cleansing in the state and society continues, and measures are continuing and will continue so that they do not revive."

REACTION TO ISRAEL

Expressing that innocent Muslims are being massacred and subjected to genocide in Gaza, Karaloğlu said that the Zionist terrorist state of Israel is committing crimes against humanity by bombing schools, hospitals, places of worship, and all places considered sacred by society—regardless of whether they are mosques or churches—and places that are strictly forbidden to be touched under the laws of war, without regard for babies, children, women, or the elderly.

Pointing out that there is an awakening among the people and that various cities have begun to condemn the brutality, Karaloğlu stated, however, that there is still no such awakening in state administrations.

15 July Association President İsmail Hakkı Turunç also explained that they have been coming together with the families of martyrs frequently since the association was founded.

Ayşe Varank Arslantürk, President of the Association's Women and Family Commission, expressed her happiness to be together with the families at the traditional program.
