IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Reacting to the words of Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler regarding the martyred soldier, "By the way, they launched a drone, and it hit our Mehmetçik (soldier); we took him to the hospital. We couldn't save him, he was martyred" Dervişoğlu said, "Look, do you know what's next? The biggest radish is yet to come. The biggest and most bitter radish is the words of the Minister of National Defense. At first, I thought I read it wrong. But unfortunately, I read it correctly."
In the continuation of his speech, Dervişoğlu made a reference to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the architect of the new opening process.
Recalling Bahçeli's words regarding the conference in Syria, "The Qamishli provocation is a disgrace of spoiling a cooked meal" Dervişoğlu stated,"He is still in a dream world... I said it on the first day, let me remind you again: The ingredients of the meal you are cooking are poison, pure poison. It doesn't matter if you add water or not! The 'cooked meal' you speak of is the hemlock poison imposed upon this nation! You are hurt today. Wait, you will be hurt much more when the ballot box arrives. This nation will not forgive this betrayal, you will see!" he stated.
Key highlights from Dervişoğlu's remarks:
"ERDOĞAN AND HIS ENTOURAGE HAVE FAILED TO PREPARE NEITHER TURKEY NOR ISTANBUL FOR AN EARTHQUAKE"
"The earthquake that occurred has once again shown that Erdoğan and his entourage, who have governed Istanbul uninterruptedly for 25 years and Turkey for 23 years, have failed to prepare either Turkey or Istanbul for an earthquake. Just as they have no intention of doing so, they never will. When they say 'transformation,' they think of land and zoning rent. When they say construction, nothing comes to their minds other than shopping malls and luxury residences. As in every subject, they have no vision in this regard either. When they talk about 'Old Turkey,' they are actually describing themselves. Because both their government and they themselves are old."
While Turkey pays a fortune for the most expensive and mediocre communication services in the world, and while we cannot even use mobile phones or access the internet during earthquakes and disasters, you skillfully throttle bandwidth and impose censorship on social media whenever it suits you. You manage both Türk Telekom and Turkcell, which you took into the Wealth Fund. For God's sake, other than transferring resources from the pockets of the nation to rent-seeking networks and paying millions of liras in attendance fees to the government's cronies, does nothing ever come to your minds regarding the benefit, future, or welfare of this nation?
Can you imagine? Out of the 470 assembly areas designated after the 1999 earthquake, only 77 are usable today. As we all know, the rest have been usurped, and shopping malls, luxury residences, and skyscrapers have been erected in the city's windpipes.
"YOU BURNED THROUGH 50 BILLION DOLLARS IN 1 MONTH"
You spent the money you collected under the pretext of earthquake preparedness on other things and abandoned our citizens to death. You didn't spend it on the lives of the nation; but to protect your power, to win Istanbul—which you couldn't win through elections—by cheating, you burned through 50 billion dollars in one month. So that your 23-year-long plunder could continue, you squandered the foreign currency saved by this noble nation.
"THEY ARE ATTACKING ISTANBUL'S LAST WETLANDS AND WATER SOURCES"
Now they are back to pursuing Kanal Istanbul. In our age, where water has become more valuable than gold, they are attacking Istanbul's last wetlands and water sources. They have already prepared the cover story, too. What is it? They claim they will build mass housing for the citizens. Well, if you are building housing for Turkish citizens, why are you airing the advertisements on television channels in Arab countries? You are trying to mask this grand plunder by telling Aunt Ayşe and Uncle Ahmet that you are "building homes," while trying to find customers among the oil-rich. These games of yours never end, and it doesn't look like they will. This is now as clear as day: The survival of the Palace and the survival of the Nation are two different things. A handful of elites, detached from the Turkish nation, are governing the Turkish nation's state. From now on, there are two options: either the survival of the nation will prevail, or the survival of the Palace will crush the Turkish Nation. The problem is in the Palace, and the solution is here, in the Parliament!
"THE BIGGEST AND MOST PAINFUL BLOW IS THE WORDS OF THE MINISTER OF NATIONAL DEFENSE"
Look, do you know what is next? The biggest blow is coming. The biggest and most painful blow is the words of the Minister of National Defense. At first, I thought I had read it wrong. But unfortunately, I read it correctly. When asked about our martyr, he said: “By the way, they launched a drone, it hit our Mehmetçik (soldier), we took him to the hospital. We couldn't save him, he became a martyr.” That is exactly what he said. This is the point reached by a mentality that mentions our martyrs as if they were a mere statistic. He speaks not of the martyrdom of one of our heroes, but as if he were talking about a kitten hit on the road. I ask: Who launched that drone? Was it not the treacherous terrorists against whom the Turkish army, our police, and our village guards have been heroically fighting for years? Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler! By calling a martyr a 'head' (kelle) and treating a terrorist like a peace dove, wherever you led this country yesterday, you are doing the same today. Do not act according to the agenda of puppets tasked with treason, but act in accordance with the honor of the heroic Turkish army, which has laid its life on the line to serve the homeland.
DERVİŞOĞLU'S NAPOLEON ANALOGY FOR THE ECONOMY
There is a famous story. Napoleon asked one of his commanders: 'Why did we lose the war?' The commander began to list them, saying, 'There are five reasons, sir.' When he said, 'First, we ran out of gunpowder,' Napoleon said, 'Okay, stop, there is no point in listing the others.' This is the state of the Turkish economy. If you ask for the reason for this situation, there is only one: the palace encroachment called the Presidential System. Because this encroachment has consumed everything that was needed. We don't even need to count the rest. Is it possible for the currency of such a country to be valuable? Can investment come to this country? Can employment be created in such a country? Can faces smile in such a country?
"INSTEAD OF PRODUCING CRAZY PROJECTS, THEY SHOULD HAVE FINISHED THE GAP PROJECT"
What do the East and Southeast, Diyarbakır, Mardin, and Van—some of the regions with the highest income inequality today—mean to them? Once again, it means rent-seeking, it means feudalism and serfdom. If it were otherwise, in 23 years they would have accomplished half of what the Republic achieved in 10 years. Instead of producing crazy projects, instead of producing empty talk for 23 years, they would have finished the GAP project first.
"ERDOĞAN HAS A DIFFERENT AGENDA"
Look at the person at the head of the country, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. What does he say in the 'Turkey's Migration Management Program in the Century of Turkey'? He starts again with 'Ansar-Muhajir' (helpers and migrants) and then makes a comparison to the Hijra. He says, 'There are 4 million 33 thousand migrants in Turkey.' Sometimes it is not what you say, but what you do not say that is important. If we ask what Erdoğan, who describes asylum seekers and illegal immigrants as migrants, is trying to do, the options are clear;
a- He doesn't know what this concept means? It is possible, because he doesn't care.
b- He thinks this concept is playdough that he can shape as he wishes. This is also possible.
c- He has a different agenda.
And this is the most essential option. Yes, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has a different agenda. I am addressing him from here; you cannot bend and twist migration or migrants to legitimize the current illegal immigrants of today and the future ones of tomorrow. You do not have such authority.
"I SEE A GOVERNMENT THAT EMBRACES EVERYONE EXCEPT THE TURKS"
I see a government that embraces everyone except the Turks, and is at war with the Turkish state it leads—with its name, its essence, its institutions, and its traditions. I do not see the wisdom of the 'Grey-Haired Elders,' but the darkness of ignorance. I see those who set out in the name of the Organization of Turkic States, only to sell out the Turkish Cypriots to casino capitalism and illegal betting barons. I see those who talk about the blue of the homeland in the Mediterranean, yet bow down to the green of the dollar. I see those who harvest headlines from the suffering in Gaza while playing broker with Israel. They are not ashamed to use all our sacred values for their lies. They claim there are immigrants in Turkey and call the situation a 'migration' (hijra). You should be ashamed to even use the word 'HIJRA.' The demographic gamble you are playing with this merchant sultanate has no resemblance or connection to that sacred migration. Listen to what comes out of your mouth. Get a grip on yourselves!
"TELL US ABOUT THAT CONFERENCE IN SYRIA"
Tell us about that conference in Syria that you have been following so closely. Tell us about the betrayals committed against Turkey by those you thought you had made 'your men' with the ties you gifted them. Tell us about the new terrorist state that they made you act as a midwife for, and which you accepted for the sake of keeping your seat. Tell us about the terror barons moving from Qandil to Syria. Tell us about your plans to resurrect and bring back into politics the murderers of our 50,000 people—the PKK, which our army had long since neutralized. Tell us about the 'Amnesty Bargaining' you are conducting in the Imralı-Beştepe-Balgat traffic. Tell us who the parties are to the war you are signaling by forcing people to talk about peace.
YOU WILL BE HURT MUCH MORE WHEN THE BALLOT BOX ARRIVES
I cannot pass without mentioning one point. You know the person who invited the terrorist leader to parliament. He has become very close with terrorists lately. But he is hurt by the conference in Syria. He says, 'Don't pour water into the cooked meal.' He is still living in a dream world... I said it on the first day, and I will remind you again: The ingredients of the meal they have cooked are poison, pure poison. It doesn't matter if they add water or not! What you call a 'cooked meal' is the hemlock poison being forced upon this nation! You are hurt today. Just wait, you will be hurt much more when the ballot box arrives. This nation will not forgive this betrayal, you will see!
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
The National Kurdish Conference, which gathered on April 26 in the Syrian city of Qamishli with the agenda of the future of Kurds in Syria, led by the terrorist organization PKK/YPG and the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS), known for its closeness to Barzani, had resulted in a demand for a 'federation'.
Regarding this issue, Bahçeli had said, 'The Qamishli provocation is a disgrace of pouring water into a cooked meal. Remaining closed to this, and removing terror from the country's and region's agenda, is a matter of honor that is humanitarian, national, and undoubtedly conscientious. There is a high-level need for sincere, realistic, humane, and honest attitudes that bring together opposite poles, resolve contradictions, and cut through prejudices like a knife. It is in everyone's interest to speak and reach an understanding with inner depth, effective reasoning power, and a capacity for comprehension that does not surrender to clichés, and to open clenched fists and shake hands.'
