Dervişoğlu's first comment on Bahçeli shaking hands with DEM Party

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting.

Dervişoğlu began his remarks by touching upon the recent violence against women and femicides, recalling scandalous statements made during the 22-year AKP government.

"Inadequate inspections invite crime. Those who commit crimes become more emboldened each time," said Dervişoğlu, and continued as follows:

As Hz. Ali said, 'If you cannot prevent an injustice, announce it to everyone.'

We are obliged to raise our voices against these evils. The conscience of this nation cannot and should not remain silent.

We will not forget, God is our witness, those who said regarding child abuse that 'Nothing will happen from just one time.'

We will not forget those who said, 'A woman will not laugh in public, she will be chaste.'

We will not forget those who said, 'Women and men cannot be equal, this is against nature.'

We will not forget those who called the Turkish woman 'the ornament of her home,' and those who said, 'a woman who chooses to work is preparing for prostitution.'

We will also stand against the mentality that says, 'The rapist is more innocent than the rape victim who has an abortion,' until the very end.

This nation knows that what is deserved, what is right, cannot be obtained by remaining silent.

The Minister of Family and Social Services has also come out and made a social media post saying, 'We will continue our struggle with determination, with the principle of zero tolerance, without any ifs or buts, to eradicate violence against women and femicides from this geography.'

Aren't you the ones who have been governing this country for 22 years?"

A DIG AT BAHÇELİ REGARDING DEM PARTY AND HÜDA PAR

Dervişoğlu spoke about MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shaking hands with members of the DEM Party.

Müsavat Dervişoğlu said, "We know for what purpose they raised their hands to HÜDA PAR and for what purpose they extended their hands to the DEM Party. We will have proposals for the government regarding the Constitution. Turkey is the name of a great country, and Turk is the name of a great nation. We will not entrust the fate of this great nation to them."

"WE WILL ENSURE THE DEVELOPMENT OF A 'WE' CONSCIOUSNESS, NOT 'I'"

We will bring a speaking Turkey to life, God willing, and we are fighting for it.

To build a stronger Turkey as a nation, we will ensure the development of a 'We' consciousness, not 'I'. We will be 'we', we have no other choice.

If we become a nation that sees differences as wealth and is locked together, then we can talk about the ideal of a truly great Turkey.

Today, we all see that the Justice and Development Party consists of an empty shell. Our citizens who voted for the AK Party also see this.

We have infinite respect for the voters who voted for the AK Party.

The Presidential Government System, that is, the Palace oligarchy, has stripped the AK Party of being the AK Party, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of being Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The one-man rule in every field, the party becoming the state, the state becoming the party, the corruption and injustices experienced are also disturbing our citizens who voted for the AK Party.

They are also looking for a remedy. While they had dozens of reasons to vote for the AK Party yesterday, today they have hundreds of reasons not to vote for it.

"THE REMEDY IS THE PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM"

Following the transition to the Presidential Government System in 2018, we have experienced serious regressions in every field, from macroeconomics to democracy, from purchasing power to quality of life.

All data, including inflation, unemployment, growth, and life satisfaction, which are presented as statistics but have little credibility, point to a deterioration.

They are no longer able to hide even with lies what kind of quagmire they have dragged the country into.

Even TÜİK's own data says that as of last month, rents have increased by more than 117 percent annually. Is the fact that the nation cannot find a place to live your understanding of a social state?

While some are building their real estate empires, is the fact that retirees, workers, and students cannot find a house to rent your understanding of a social state?

At the root of all these problems and mistakes lies the unlimited power given to one person with the system change.

When power is imbalanced, it ceases to be power. Uncontrolled power is like fire. As its flame grows, it begins to burn everyone and everything. In the end, that fire turns its owner to ash as well.

That is why I have never given up on the view that the remedy lies in the parliamentary democratic system, as it always has. I will never give up.

In a country where the parliament is not strong, it means that the people cannot be represented by the deputies they elected.

This presidential system has further strengthened and deepened the bureaucratic oligarchy that has been complained about for years.

If there is to be a change in the order under these circumstances, its direction is clear. That direction is parliamentary democracy.

We defend a democratic system where the will of the people is fully reflected, and we will never compromise on this.

NEW CONSTITUTION DISCUSSIONS

However, if a constitutional amendment is to be used as a tool to legitimize someone's desire for power, or if artificial agendas are to be created through this discussion, no one should expect me and the İYİ Party to consent to this.

Our struggle is for a system that fully represents the will and freedom of this nation. We will never take a step back from being the voice of the people.

This country is certainly strong enough to overcome all its problems by discussing and realizing the potential it possesses.

However, in a discussion that seeks answers to questions like 'How can Erdoğan run again, how can we make him President for another 5 years, how can we win the election,' even if the name of the discussion is a constitutional discussion, we are not there, the İYİ Party is not there, the brave ones are not there."
