Dervişoğlu's striking comment on the 'candidacy' agenda in CHP: 'Is there a possibility of an election?'
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu attended his party's Extended Provincial Council Meeting in Kütahya. In his speech there, Dervişoğlu also touched upon the 'candidacy' debates within the CHP.

As part of his Kütahya program, Dervişoğlu visited the Kütahya Branch of the Association of War Veterans, Martyrs' Widows and Orphans, the Kütahya Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, and the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, before attending his party's extended provincial council meeting.
In his speech there, Dervişoğlu stated that he has been traveling across Anatolia, visiting the people and explaining his party's platform.
Stating that he speaks about what the nation wants, Dervişoğlu expressed that he voices what is in the hearts of the people.
Saying that some opposition parties are debating artificial problems, Dervişoğlu continued as follows:
"What are we locked onto? The presidential election. Is there an election in the near future? Is there a possibility of an election? Is there a possibility that the government will enter an election at a time when it is set to lose?
You look and see the opposition debating the election.
They are not just debating the election; they are debating which opposition party the presidential candidate will come from and who it will be. There is no debate being conducted based on the unique identities of political parties.
The debates are being conducted based on individuals.
Will it be İmamoğlu? Will it be Mansur Yavaş? We are debating 'who will be the president,' but for God's sake, is there anyone asking 'what will happen to the country and the citizens?'"
