Details of the MASAK report on Oğuzhan Uğur have emerged

Nine people, including Oğuzhan Uğur, have been detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Ahbap Association.

It was learned that those detained include Oğuzhan Uğur, Gülgün Öztürk, Suzan Düşküner, Emir Taşar, Emre Kartaloğlu, Hüseyin Küçük, and Fatih Eke, as well as employees working within Ahbap, financial auditors, and a suspect operating in the crypto asset sector.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Oğuzhan Uğur's police interrogation has begun.

NOTABLE FINDINGS IN THE MASAK REPORT

The MASAK report included in the investigation file contains findings regarding money movements, advance payment transactions, and various financial transfers between company and personal accounts.

According to the report, it was stated that more than 2 thousand business advance and advance refund transactions were carried out between the personal accounts belonging to the Uğur family and company accounts.

The report also stated that on June 13 and 14, 2023, a total of 9.7 million liras was sent to the same person under the description of a vehicle purchase, and it was determined that the amount in question was returned within a short period. It was noted that the repetition of the same transaction resulted in a transaction volume of approximately 30 million liras within two days, and these money movements are being examined as part of the investigation.

VILLA PURCHASE AND CASH MOVEMENTS ALSO INCLUDED IN THE REPORT

The MASAK report also includes assessments regarding certain transactions carried out from company accounts.

According to the report, it was recorded that on January 5, 2024, a villa was purchased for 25 million liras from the River Oak Villas project in Çekmeköy Ömerli through the Babala TV account, and the property in question was included in the company's assets.

The report also stated that on November 1, 2024, a total of 6.5 million liras in cash was deposited into the personal accounts of family members from outside sources, and it was determined that this amount was transferred back to the Babala TV accounts shortly after with the description of "advance refund." It was reported that these money movements are also being examined within the scope of the investigation.

COMPANY REVENUES AND COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE EXAMINED

The MASAK report provided information that the group's financial transactions were primarily conducted through Babala TV Organizasyon Ticaret Ltd. Şti.

The report stated that it was determined that payments exceeding 45 million liras were made to the company within the scope of contracts signed with the digital broadcasting platform Gain Medya.

Additionally, the report included information that the company's YouTube revenues, which were at the level of 265 thousand liras in 2020, rose to 6 million 425 thousand liras in 2023.

In the examinations regarding the company structure, it was recorded that Babalayka Film, of which Tuğrul Uğur is the sole partner, and Osis Yapım, in which Oğuzhan Uğur has a partnership share, are also within the company network.

ASSESSMENTS REGARDING COMMERCIAL HISTORY

The MASAK report also includes information regarding the Uğur family's past commercial activities.

The report stated that it contains findings that the family not only operated in the media sector but also had commercial ties with companies operating in the defense industry and private security fields in past years.
