President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Working Office in Beşiktaş. During the meeting, contacts between Turkey and Armenia, the peace and dialogue process in the South Caucasus, and current developments concerning the region were discussed.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan drew attention to the importance of the consensus reached in the peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the current conjuncture.
He stated that Turkey would continue to provide all kinds of support to the efforts carried out with the goal of developing the region through a "win-win" approach. Steps that could be taken within the scope of the normalization process between Turkey and Armenia were also addressed during the meeting.
President Erdoğan said that Turkey is using all the possibilities of diplomacy to establish stability not only in the Caucasus but in the entire region, and that he continues his contacts with leaders to eliminate the risks created in the region by the spiral of violence that began with Israel's attacks on Iran.
The two leaders left Dolmabahçe after the meeting, which lasted approximately 1 hour.
