Detained and released: Kadir İpek arrested

Kadir İpek, who was initially released after being detained on charges of insulting President Erdoğan, has been arrested following a subsequent appeal.

A young man named Kadir İpek was arrested due to a comment he posted on the social media account of AKP President Erdoğan regarding the announced 2025 minimum wage. 

Kadir İpek was first detained in Samsun on the grounds that he had 'insulted the President' in a comment he left under Erdoğan's post. However, İpek was released by the court with judicial control measures. 

DETAINED AGAIN 

After his release, İpek was detained again on the grounds that he had shared the same post on another social media platform. 

The young man, who underwent a health check, was this time arrested and sent to prison. 

Journalist Altan Sancar announced on his social media account that Kadir İpek had been arrested.
