Former CHP deputy Aykut Erdoğdu, who was arrested as part of the investigation into corruption allegations against the IMM, made a statement through his lawyers on his social media account following the preparation of the indictment.

Erdoğdu said, "The accusation placed before me as a result of my five-and-a-half-month detention is nothing more than mocking our intelligence."

Erdoğdu's statement is as follows:

"The indictment finally appeared after months, and I have read the accusation against me. I am accused of a single crime, which is mediating a bribe.

I am very sad and full of anger.

The accusation placed before me as a result of my five-and-a-half-month detention is nothing more than mocking our intelligence.

The fact that I have been held captive for months with such a baseless, irrational, and unserious slander is a major problem and a source of concern not only for me but for the future of the entire country.

I want you to know that we have already debunked this ugly slander.

May those who love us be at ease; it is now our turn to speak, and we will present the facts with all evidence during the trial.

Greetings to all our people from the Silivri dungeons.

With resistance and solidarity."
