Detained İsmet Sayhan referred to the courthouse
Former MKE Chairman İsmet Sayhan, who was detained as part of an Istanbul-based investigation into an armed criminal organization, has been referred to the courthouse.

The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into an armed criminal organization, allegedly led by Selahattin Yılmaz, continues. Within this scope, the police procedures for former Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) Board Chairman İsmet Sayhan, who was taken into custody, have been completed. After undergoing a medical check-up, Sayhan was brought to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan, where he will provide his statement at the Organized Crime Investigation Bureau.
Sayhan had previously drawn public attention due to his close relationship with MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli.
In the past, 17 people were detained in operations centered in Istanbul and carried out in Ankara, Antalya, Muğla, and Samsun. Of these individuals, 10, including Selahattin Yılmaz, were arrested; 6 were released under judicial control, and 7 were released.
