It was observed that the fault line, which was present on the MTA map in 2013, is absent from the map published by the MTA in 2023.
Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, CHP Deputy Chairman responsible for the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Zonguldak, commented on the situation they uncovered, saying, "If anyone can do it, the AK Party can!"
Yavuzyılmaz stated, "We have determined that the MTA has erased the Ovacık fault line-Munzur segment, which passes directly under the Anagold mining site in İliç, Erzincan, from the official fault map. The fault line that was on the 2013 MTA map is not on the map published in 2023!"
