Developments in the 4th wave operation targeting IMM

10 people detained in the 4th wave operation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) have been released under judicial control.

Within the scope of the corruption investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, 10 suspects accused of engaging in irregular activities at İSTAÇ, KİPTAŞ, and the Road Maintenance Department have been released under judicial control by the duty magistrate. It was learned that the questioning of the remaining 36 suspects by the court is ongoing.

The corruption investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and its suspended, imprisoned mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu continues. The 46 suspects detained on May 23 regarding allegations of irregular activities at İSTAÇ, KİPTAŞ, and the Road Maintenance Department were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after their procedures at the police station were completed.

Of the suspects who gave statements to the prosecutor's office, 36 were referred to the duty magistrate with a request for arrest, while 10 were referred with a request for judicial control measures.

10 of the suspects were released under judicial control by the duty magistrate. It was learned that the questioning of the 36 suspects referred with a request for arrest is continuing at the court.

The names of those detained in the 4th wave operation targeting the IMM and subsequently released under judicial control are as follows:

Judicial control decisions were issued for Abdulbaki Yayla, Atilla Alkan, Burak Salman, Davut Şener, Fadime Şimşek İpşir, Ferhat Fazlıoğlu, Hakan Kuk, Mehmet Zekir Ertürk, Muhammet Burak Gönültaş, and Sezen Algedik.
