Devlet Bahçeli's 'Palestine' call to the UN: "It must intervene immediately"

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli spoke at his party's TBMM Group Meeting. On Bahçeli's agenda was the Hamas-Israel conflict, which has entered its 4th day.

MHP leader Bahçeli said, "Targeting civilians is a catastrophe and dynamites the search for solutions." Calling on the international community to take action, Devlet Bahçeli stated that a ceasefire must be declared rapidly.

ISRAEL-HAMAS CONFLICT

''Nursing infants are being slaughtered. Palestine has been in a circle of disasters for a full century. The Palestinian issue has been dragged into a vortex that is very difficult to escape.

''THE CONFLICT ENVIRONMENT IS WORRISOME''

It is a dream for weapons to fall silent, for blood to stop, and for scenes of violence to end without a two-state solution being realized. The escalating hot conflict environment is at a worrying level.

''TARGETING DEFENSELESS PEOPLE IS A CATASTROPHE''

Our sorrow is the death of hundreds of civilians and innocent people. Targeting defenseless people, whoever it comes from, is a catastrophe. Approaching the large-scale crisis between Israel and Palestine with common sense and putting mediators into play as soon as possible should be the urgent agenda of the international community.

''THE UN MUST INTERVENE IMMEDIATELY''

Israel has oppressed our Palestinian brothers for years, and unspeakable crimes against humanity have been committed before the eyes of the world. International law has been violated, and United Nations (UN) resolutions have been ignored. First of all, a ceasefire regime must be established immediately, and the parties must simultaneously come to a line of moderation. The steps to be taken by our President must be supported. The UN must intervene immediately.

''THE STATE OF PALESTINE MUST BE RECOGNIZED''

The State of Palestine must be recognized. The US should support Turkey's efforts. Instead of sending an aircraft carrier, the US should work for peace.

''TAKING SIDES BETWEEN TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS IS A TERROR METHOD''

No derivative of terrorism is reasonable or legitimate. Taking sides between terrorist organizations and setting them upon different countries is a method of terror. Terrorism is a bloody and treacherous weapon aimed at all of humanity. We will not surrender, we will not bow down. We also stand behind the operations carried out across the border.

''THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY FOR ATTACKING TURKEY''

We stand behind the operations carried out across the border following the October 1st Ankara attack by the separatist terrorist organization PKK. There is a price to pay for attacking Turkey. The ambition to disrupt the peace of the Turkish nation will certainly have heavy consequences. There is no safe area left for the separatist terrorist organization. It is time to root out terrorism at its source. The back of the murderous terrorist organization has been broken. We will not stop until the last terrorist is neutralized.

''I CONDEMN THE US FOR DOWNING OUR SİHA''

Our SİHA (UCAV) was downed by the US military presence. I find this illegal intervention wrong and I condemn it. According to the statement by the US Department of Defense, our SİHA was downed for the purpose of self-defense. What is the US doing in northern Syria? Where does it want to reach by stationing terrorists on guard around oil wells? If what the US does is self-defense, then what is what Turkey does? The US has officially opened fire on our SİHA from the PKK/YPG trenches. The US is in the same hole as the PKK/YPG. We have never forgotten and will not forget the 'sack incident' either. We just don't want them under our feet, we don't want anything else. History will judge those who form alliances with terror.

''WE WILL SAY YES TO THE MOTION''

We will say yes to the Iraq and Syria motion. The CHP is facing a historic test.

CALL TO KILIÇDAROĞLU FOR THE MOTION

I say to Kılıçdaroğlu, if you are uncomfortable with terror, I challenge you; let them come out and explain where they stand. Those who have difficulty choosing between the martyr and the murderer, between malice and the nation, and those who are preparing to object to the motion, are the opposing front of Turkey. My advice to Kılıçdaroğlu is that if he says no to the motion to be discussed, he should not forget that he and his fellow deputies will be openly betraying the flag, the homeland, and the martyrs.

''THE NATIONAL VEIN OF THE CHP CHAIRMAN HAS RUPTURED''

The national vein of the CHP Chairman has ruptured. Kılıçdaroğlu's intention to smear the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) is unpatriotic. Kılıçdaroğlu said, 'I do not call this Assembly a Veteran Assembly. This is an Assembly where deputies raise and lower their hands upon instructions from the palace.' I had warned this person; I said I would like to remind him of the years of the National Struggle first. Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu, it seems that no matter what we say, it has no effect on you. There is no patriotism in your veteran record. What does it matter if you accept the veteran status of the TBMM or not? The Veteran Assembly was established despite people like you. I think it is close for Kılıçdaroğlu, who says 'The TBMM is not a veteran,' to open the veteran title of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to debate. Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu's stomach ache is essentially Atatürk and the sacred works he left behind. I hope Kılıçdaroğlu will come to his senses.

''BEING THICK AS THIEVES WITH TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS...''
