Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) has issued a statement regarding claims that Mayor Mansur Yavaş held a phone conversation with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the position of CHP Chairman, following the Güvenpark rally.
In a written statement released by the municipality, it was stated that the conversation in question did not take place and that the claims were not true.
CLAIM IN COLUMN BECOMES A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
Nefes newspaper columnist Can Ataklı included assessments from a source close to Kılıçdaroğlu in his column today. The article alleged that Mansur Yavaş had called Kılıçdaroğlu on the phone.
According to the claim, Yavaş told Kılıçdaroğlu during the conversation, "I want you to know that I am not on one side regarding this matter" it was alleged.

In the statement issued by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality regarding the matter, "There has been no phone conversation between Mansur Yavaş and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu following the Güvenpark rally. All of the remarks featured in a newspaper columnist's piece today are baseless." the statement read.

"Had these claims been put to us, we would have shared the information that no such phone call took place, and we would have even provided them with the records of who Mansur Yavaş spoke to on the phone that day."
